Endgrate is a developer tool for API integrations founded by two Harvard undergraduates and backed by Harvard iLabs, 1517 Fund, PROD (Harvard/MIT startup incubator, ~$2B cumulative valuation), and Keel.

Since starting in 2022, we've been on a very fast growth trajectory and are now hiring a founding software engineer. We're looking for someone with a strong builder mentality to play a key role in advancing our product. As an early hire, you will have significant ownership (generous equity) and immense impact both now and as the company grows.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Python.
• Fullstack web development experience (MongoDB, Flask, HTML/CSS/React).
• Familiar with reading and understanding API documentation.
• Significant experience with interfacing with APIs, particularly in asynchronous/parallel environments (requests, celery, gevent).
• Significant experience designing, developing, and documenting API endpoints with a focus on ease of use for developers.
• Machine learning and LLM experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Being comfortable in a fast-paced environment and taking on new challenges with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of new features and maintenance, end-to-end, across our codebase.
• Work closely with the founders and engineering team to shape the direction of the product.
• Talk directly with prospects and customers to understand their pain points and how to solve them.

Job Type: Full-time/Contract

Pay: $40 - $100 per hour.

Location: Fully remote.
